About
Indigo Sum (1995) is a dutch photographer who pushes the boundaries of photography to transform his photo’s into colorful expressionistic, painting-like artworks.
By working solemnly in Adobe Lightroom, the tools at his disposal are mostly limited to what reality has to offer. Starting with reality and straying further away from it through the means of experimentation provide his works with a individual uniqueness. This process relies heavily on submerging in to and revisiting the past. The emotions evoked on this path shape the bridge between past and present and result in intensely personal works.
The abstract compositions and the sincerity of his process create a place and time for others to reflect on past memories and our subconscious emotions, that are intertwined between our past, present and future.
